The Penns Grove Red Devils had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 47-42 win over Woodstown on Tuesday. The win was just what Penns Grove needed coming off of a 96-52 loss in their prior matchup.
Penns Grove's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Giomar Conrad, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Mekhi Ballard, who scored 12 points.
Penns Grove's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Woodstown, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.
Penns Grove will head out on the road to square off against the Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Overbrook presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Red Devils in New Jersey (the Rams are ranked 123rd, while the Red Devils are ranked 302nd). As for Woodstown, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
