George School is 1-0 against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. George School fell victim to Caravel's stalwart defense two weeks ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Buccaneers, falling 2-0. While losing is never fun, George School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 559th in Pennsylvania, while Caravel is ranked third in Delaware).
Meanwhile, Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Montrose 46-14 at home. With Columbia Montour Vo-Tech ahead 34-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Braxtyn Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 223 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ashton Smith, who picked up 12 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Tyson Brown and Gabe Souder who racked up four sacks between them.
Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's victory bumped their season record to 2-6 while George School's loss dropped theirs to 0-5.
George School strolled past Columbia Montour Vo-Tech when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 68-52. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's Toby Zajac, who rushed for 302 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry.
