Sebring has gone 9-1 against Avon Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Streaks will head out on the road to take on the Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Sebring 3.1, Avon Park 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Sebring's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lake Region 2-0.
The team relied heavily on Cailyn McWaters, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
Meanwhile, Avon Park put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Lemon Bay. Considering the Red Devils have won six games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Paisley Macias's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Avon Park got a massive performance out of Kamya Brassell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Henderson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, one run, and one RBI.
Avon Park lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.
Sebring's record now sits at 6-2. As for Avon Park, their record is now 7-0.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Sebring has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Avon Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 1.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sebring couldn't quite finish off Avon Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 and fell 7-5. Can the Blue Streaks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
