Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin is a perfect 9-0 against Beaumont School since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. On Wednesday, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin made easy work of Magnificat and carried off a 16-1 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Becca Wooke was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maya Rowan, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Magnificat only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Beaumont School's offense. They lost 10-0 to Holy Name on Wednesday.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Beaumont School, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
Beaumont School's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Beaumont School, though, as they've been averaging 11.4 hits. Given Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's sizable advantage in that area, the Blue Streaks will need to find a way to close that gap.
