While Riverside put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Chardon. The Beavers were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Hilltoppers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Beavers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Mason Pozo tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Lelynd Chapman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Mo Dolce was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

With the win, Riverside broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Chardon, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3.

Riverside has already played their next match, an 8-6 defeat against St. Edward on the 10th. As for Chardon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against University School on the 11th.
