The Timpview Thunderbirds lost to the Mountain View Toros  back in December of 2018, but the Timpview Thunderbirds didn't allow the Mountain View Toros the same satisfaction on Thursday. Timpview walked away with  a   58-47  victory over Mountain View. Given Timpview's advantage  in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 35th in Utah, while Mountain View is ranked 106th in Arizona), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Leading Timpview to victory were  Aisa Galea'i and  Dean Rueckert.  Galea'i  scored nine points along with seven  assists and four  steals, while  Rueckert  scored 24 points. Those seven  assists set a new season-high mark for him.  Callen Tollestrup was another key contributor,  scoring five points along with five  rebounds.
 Timpview is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Mountain View, they now  have a losing record at 6-7.
 Timpview won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Valley Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on December 29, 2023. Valley Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 977 points over their last 12 matches. Mountain View won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Mission College Prep at 1:00  p.m.  on December 29, 2023. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Mission College Prep and three for Mountain View.
