Timpview walked away with a 58-47 victory over Mountain View. Given Timpview's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 35th in Utah, while Mountain View is ranked 106th in Arizona), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Timpview to victory were Aisa Galea'i and Dean Rueckert. Galea'i scored nine points along with seven assists and four steals, while Rueckert scored 24 points. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Callen Tollestrup was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.
Timpview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
