Beechwood had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Bullitt Central Cougars.

Sawyer Carlisle and Tyler Fryman did most of the damage at the plate: Carlisle went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Fryman went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Mando, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Beechwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.

Beechwood's win bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Bullitt Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Beechwood will head out to take on Cooper at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bullitt Central, they will face off against Male at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 4, the Bulldogs 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
