Given First Assembly Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Hart 2 Hart Academy is ranked 689th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
First Assembly Christian Academy was led to victory by Ta'Bryant Wooden and Quintin Roberts. Wooden dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Roberts dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roberts has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jausten Rivera, who scored five points along with ten steals.
Hart 2 Hart Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Daniel Bliffin and Jordan Keen. Bliffin scored 13 points along with nine rebounds, while Keen dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Keen is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
First Assembly Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Hart 2 Hart Academy, they bumped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
First Assembly Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Northside Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hart 2 Hart Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against First Christian at 7:00 p.m.
