Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Borden County Coyotes, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by the Wildcats on the road and fell 110-65. Borden County's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Westbrook was led to victory by Grayson Jeffrey and Keegan Gilbreath. Jeffrey rushed for 231 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry, while Gilbreath gained 380 total yards and six touchdowns. Gilbreath really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run. Aiden Sullivan was in the mix too, providing Westbrook with two touchdowns.
Borden County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Westbrook, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Borden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westbrook is on the road again on Friday and play against Happy at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Happy is ranked sixth, while Westbrook is ranked first).
