Trinity had lost three straight at home, but  on Saturday they dropped their record down to 1-14 to make it four. They lost  18-0 to the IC Catholic Prep Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  16-2  back in April.
 Trinity saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Quinley Costello, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base. That  stolen base marked the first that  Costello has  snagged this season.
As for IC Catholic Prep, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record  this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 On IC Catholic Prep's side,  Lexi Russ was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with seven  RBI, four  runs,  and three  doubles. That's the most  hits  Russ has posted  over her last 11  games. Another player making a difference was  Kelly Cahill, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI and two  doubles.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Trinity is set to  take on  their familiar foe DePaul College Prep  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, IC Catholic Prep will  square off against  rival Aurora Central Catholic  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
