The Weber Warriors entered their tilt with the Farmington Phoenix with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Weber came out on top against Farmington by a score of 53-42 on Friday. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as Weber did.
Weber can attribute much of their success to Abby Sayer, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sayer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rylee Jugler, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Despite the defeat, Farmington had strong showings from Morgan Rogers, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Brynn Ryan, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Rogers continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Weber pushed their record up to 6-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
Weber will head out on the road to face off against Syracuse at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Syracuse is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Farmington, they will be playing at home against Fremont at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fremont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
