Glencoe was the 2-0 winner over Kate Duncan Smith DAR when they last played one another back in September of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Yellowjackets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mia Talbot paced Glencoe's offense, picking up ten kills. Talbot got some help from Avery Barkley and her 13 assists. Talbot also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Peyton Gray, racking up four apiece.

Glencoe's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-16 record this season.

Glencoe is taking a road trip to square off against Piedmont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Pleasant Valley on the 20th.
