There's no place like home for Whitefield Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the W.E.B. DuBois Academy Lions 14-2 on Tuesday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Whitefield Academy got a massive performance out of Kaedyn Byerly, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Byerly a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Stockton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Whitefield Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Whitefield Academy moved to 6-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for W.E.B. DuBois Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Whitefield Academy will welcome Graceland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for W.E.B. DuBois Academy, they will challenge Holy Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
