Holmes is 0-5 against Westlake since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Holmes Huskies will take on the Westlake Chaparrals at 10:30 a.m. Holmes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
Even though South San Antonio scored an imposing 65 points on Monday, Holmes still came out on top. Holmes enjoyed a cozy 79-65 win over South San Antonio.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holmes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Benjamin Garcia, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Seven Lakes scored an imposing 62 points on Saturday, Westlake still came out on top. Westlake had just enough and edged Seven Lakes out 65-62.
Holmes' win bumped their season record to 5-6 while South San Antonio's loss dropped theirs to 2-4.
Holmes was taken down by Westlake 65-31 in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can Holmes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
