Softball Recap: Rocklin Has No Trouble Against St. Francis

Rocklin won the last time they faced St. Francis and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thunder blew past the Troubadours 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Katie Wetteland, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Kylee Rogers was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Rocklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Rocklin's record now sits at 17-5. As for St. Francis, they dropped their record down to 5-20 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Rocklin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Davis Sr. on the 5th. As for St. Francis, they have also already played their next match, a 12-4 loss against Whitney on the 5th.
