Volleyball Recap: West Ashley Gets the Win

If Cane Bay wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played West Ashley, they should've done a better job of containing Logan Walasek. The Wildcats came out on top against the Cobras by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Walasek, who had 17 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last four times she's played.

While West Ashley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Cane Bay still got an impressive performance from Leanna Boscana, who had six digs and two aces.

West Ashley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cane Bay, they dropped their record down to 2-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, West Ashley and Myrtle Beach will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cane Bay, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against James Island on the 28th.
