Basketball Recap: Yahir Pizarro Key Part of a Team Effort in Generals Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bennett, Arrupe Jesuit was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They managed a 47-42 victory over the Conifer Lobos. This was a revenge game for the Generals: when they faced off against the Lobos back in December of 2024, they had to take a 57-48 loss.

Arrupe Jesuit's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yahir Pizarro, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Pizarro a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Mario Cabrera, who posted 14 points along with five assists and three steals.

Conifer lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Benson White, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Isaac Pratt was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Arrupe Jesuit has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Conifer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Arrupe Jesuit will take on The Pinnacle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in The Pinnacle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Conifer, they will venture away from home to square off against D'Evelyn at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
