The Skyline Raiders can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They strolled past Mansfield with points to spare, taking the game 47-33. The win was just what Skyline needed coming off of a 84-41 defeat in their prior matchup.
Skyline got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Khalaizah Martin out in front who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Naiya Carney, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
The victory got Skyline back to even at 14-14. As for Mansfield, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing DeSoto the next time they take the court. Mansfield will host DeSoto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Skyline will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
