Basketball Recap: Ryan Falls Despite Big Games from Kadon Jackson and De?Anthony Manuel

Ryan lost against Argyle back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the Ryan Raiders and the Argyle Eagles didn't end well, with the Ryan Raiders falling 50-36. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 413th, while the Eagles are ranked 190th).

Ryan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of De?Anthony Manuel, who posted ten points, and Kadon Jackson, who had nine points. That's the most points Manuel has posted since back in November of 2024.

Ryan has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-22 record this season. As for Argyle, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season.

Ryan will host Denton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Argyle, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Argyle Eagles face off against the Birdville Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Birdville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Argyle likes a good challenge.
