Last Friday, Stringer was the victim of a rough 38-14 loss at the hands of Leake County. Stringer has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Mount Olive fell victim to Taylorsville's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Tartars at home and fell 35-0. While losing is never fun, Mount Olive can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Taylorsville is ranked 108th).
Stringer has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Mount Olive, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Stringer skirted past Mount Olive 14-12 in their previous matchup back in September of 2020. Will Stringer repeat their success, or does Mount Olive have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
