Kossuth will challenge Belmont on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Kossuth are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Kossuth have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Mantachie with a sharp 41-12 victory. Senior Matthew Bobo, who rushed for 56 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Kossuth's success. If you haven't heard Bobo's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past three games.
Meanwhile, Belmont strolled past Alcorn Central with points to spare last Friday, taking the match 34-14. The success made it back-to-back wins for Belmont.
Their wins bumped Belmont to 4-4 and Kossuth to 4-5. With four turnovers, Kossuth had trouble holding onto the ball. We'll see if Belmont exploit that vulnerability.
