After two weeks on the road, Auburn is heading back home. On Thursday they will take on Ingraham at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
Auburn came up short against Federal Way last Thursday, falling 22-34. A silver lining for Auburn was the play of senior Calvin Liulamaga, who picked up 118 yards on the ground and accumulated 327 passing yards. If you haven't heard Liulamaga's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past three games.
Meanwhile, Ingraham brought a two-game winning streak into their match against Franklin last Friday; they left with a three-game streak. Ingraham steamrollered Franklin 49-0. That looming 49-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Ingraham yet.
Ingraham's victory lifted them to 5-2 while Auburn's loss dropped them down to 2-6. We'll see if Ingraham's success rolls on or if Auburn are able to steal their positive momentum.
