The Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 58-31 win over Box Elder. The win was nothing new for Chester-Joplin-Inverness as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Box Elder lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ariel Gopher, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Martay Stiffarm-rosette, who scored five points along with three steals.
Chester-Joplin-Inverness' victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Box Elder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
Chester-Joplin-Inverness will be playing at home against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Star will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Hawks are ranked 16th). As for Box Elder, they and the Coyotes will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
