It was a good run, but the Inola Longhorns unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to Stilwell. Inola was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Stilwell apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stilwell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Prairie Holmes, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Piper Blackburn, who scored eight points.
Inola's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Stilwell, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Inola won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tuttle on January 20th. As for Stilwell, they will head out on the road to square off against Checotah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Checotah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Stilwell is ranked 15th).
