Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask High Point Christian Academy). They put the hurt on the Grace Christian Crusaders with a sharp 16-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won six contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Paisley Dixon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, High Point Christian Academy let Maci Burkhart and Laci Jarrell run wild. Burkhart went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Jarrell scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
