The Minneapolis South Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Washburn Millers at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. One thing working in Minneapolis South's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Even though Roosevelt scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, Minneapolis South still came out on top. Minneapolis South beat the Teddies by the very same score they won with last week: 74-57.
Washburn proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 33) but on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Minneapolis Southwest 52-50. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Washburn has scored all season.
Minneapolis South is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Washburn, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Minneapolis South came up short against the Millers when the teams last played back in January, falling 60-54. Can Minneapolis South avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
