It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but University Prep had no problem doing just that  on Saturday. They won by a  run and slipped past the Colusa RedHawks  5-4. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Panthers.
 Hailey Pebley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Madisyn Rubalcava, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aubrey Caudell, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
University Prep's win bumped their record up to 18-11-2. As for Colusa, they moved to 21-8 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 University Prep will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on San Leandro at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 3rd.
