On Friday Dubuque Senior take on Waterloo West at 7:00 PM. Dubuque Senior are limping into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
We expected Dubuque Senior to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Prairie last Friday, and they did. Dubuque Senior found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 20-42 punch to the gut against Prairie.
Meanwhile, after a big victory against Hoover two weeks ago, Waterloo West came back down to earth. Waterloo West fell just short of Jefferson by a score of 19-21. The defeat was a vexing one since Waterloo West were expected to win based on their state ranking.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
