Waconia is a perfect 5-0 against St. Louis Park since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will host the Orioles at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Waconia needed a bit of extra time to put away Chaska. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Hawks. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Hawks on their field since May 2, 2015.

Reagan Mieras was a standout: she went 4-for-6 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Chloe Peterson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Waconia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Louis Park). They blew past Minneapolis Southwest 17-2 on Wednesday. The Orioles have beaten the Lakers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lakers has come to flipping the script.
Azlyn McDonnell was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. McDonnell was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Eva Taybior was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
St. Louis Park's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Waconia, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
Waconia took their win against St. Louis Park when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-3 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Orioles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
