Baseball Recap: Mount Abram Comes Up Short

Mount Abram fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Maranacook on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Black Bears by a score of 5-4. The Roadrunners haven't had much luck with the Black Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Killian Pillsbury made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Ash Rollins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Mount Abram's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Maranacook, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mount Abram and Maranacook will both be playing Lisbon the next time they take the field. The Black Bears will head out to face the Greyhounds at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Roadrunners will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
