Basketball Recap: Bastrop Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Bastrop extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Zo'Nai Cook. The Bastrop Bears took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 67-11 win over the Cedar Creek Eagles thanks in part to Cook, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten assists. Those 22 points gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Kenadee Lawhon, who went 5 of 10 en route to 16 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Bastrop's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Cedar Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Bastrop will look to defend their home court on Friday against Navarro at 6:00 p.m. Cedar Creek and Canyon will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Creek is facing Canyon at the right time seeing as Canyon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
