The Moran Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 15th straight defeat. They were dealt a 76-13 loss at the hands of Eula. Moran was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.
Ellis Hise and Caleb York certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hise scored six points along with eight rebounds, while York scored two points along with two steals.
Moran dropped their record down to 4-16 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.5 points per game. As for Eula, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 25-3.
Moran will be playing at home against Cross Plains at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Moran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 36 on Friday. Eula is on the road again on Tuesday and plays May at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Eula's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so May's offense will have their work cut out for them.
