Even though the Calhoun Red Devils have not done well against the Gilmer County Titans recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Calhoun snuck past the Titans with a 46-42 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Calhoun also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Landon Bennett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Owen Taylor, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Tyler Bush and Jacob Mick certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Bush scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, while Mick scored ten points along with five rebounds. Zachariah Wine was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Calhoun and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for Gilmer County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.
