It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bleckley County Royals had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-7 win over Claxton at home. The win was familiar territory for Bleckley County who now have seven in a row.
Bleckley County found their leader in underclassman Joshua Stanley, who rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Stanley's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam'ryn Everett, who rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Bleckley County has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.5 points per game. As for Claxton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Bleckley County will square off against Irwin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Irwin County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Claxton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
