The Sidwell Friends Quakers and the St. Benedict's Prep Gray Bees (ranked 11 and 33 in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile game. Sidwell Friends came out on top against St. Benedict's Prep by a score of 46-36 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but Sidwell Friends sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
It was another big night for Acaden Lewis, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Williams, who scored six points along with five steals.
Sidwell Friends' victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for St. Benedict's Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Sidwell Friends is on the road again on Friday and play against Link Academy at 3:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. One thing working in Link Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. St. Benedict's Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hamilton Heights Christian Academy at 8:30 p.m. on December 28, 2023. Hamilton Heights Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully St. Benedict's Prep likes a good challenge.
