Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carver Birmingham). They blew past Woodlawn 28-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Colonels: they've now won six in a row.
Joshua Harris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Carver Birmingham got a massive performance out of Ezekiel Woodside, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Woodside continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Fred Plump, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Carver Birmingham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .821. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Jackson-Olin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Carver Birmingham, their record now sits at 4-6-1.
Jackson-Olin might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Carver Birmingham when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
