Despite the defeat, Moran saw an underclassman step up: Kielar Carr scored 16 points. Carr scored a full 51.6% of Moran's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kacenda Thompkins, who scored six points.
Panther Creek pushed their record up to 1-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. As for Moran, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Panther Creek will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Menard at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
