Kearney (Mo.) defeat Grandview (Mo.) 63-7 after a strong game from
Brock Broughton, who rushed for five touchdowns. Thanks to the stand out performance the senior now has 27 touchdowns on the season.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Broughton in the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 34-7 at the half.
Kearney grew its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. KHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Broughton.
Even though the Bulldogs led by 42 points at the start of the fourth quarter, they didn't let up, scoring 14 in the quarter.
Grandview's lone touchdown came on a 12-yard run in the first quarter.
Kearney entered the contest giving up 24.4 points per game this year.
The loss comes after Grandview defeated Belton 45-28 last week. The loss broke Grandview's two-game winning streak.
Kearney (7-1) will play a Suburban - Blue game against Winnetonka next week, while Grandview (4-4) will take on Liberty North also in a Suburban - Blue game.
