Genoa Area extended the longest winning streak in Northern Buckeye this week by beating Otsego, 73-26. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Comets.
Woodmore took down Fostoria 69-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Lake's Jared Rettig and Adam Duncan have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Rettig has thrown for 1,669 yards this season, while Duncan has 38 catches for 729 yards. Rossford's Dylan Losiewicz leads the league in rushing yards with 546.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Flyers' Duncan goes up against the Bulldogs' Aj Santellana.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Lake and Rossford face off next week.
Next week's game between Mark Emans' team and Chris Werbylo's team will feature an aerial matchup as Rettig tests his arm against Santellana's defensive ability.
At the moment, the Flyers are in second, while the Bulldogs are in fifth.
The league will see a high scoring game when Lake and Rossford face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Flyers comes in having scored 270 this season, while the Bulldogs have scored 187. Lake scored 59 points last week as it defeated Elmwood.
Genoa Area led Northern Buckeye in scoring this week by notching 73 points on the Knights.
