The Central City Value Jaguars suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-47 walloping at the hands of Downtown Magnets. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central City Value in their matchups with Downtown Magnets: they've now lost four in a row.
Downtown Magnets' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yuri Hernandez, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Martinez, who scored 15 points along with six steals and five assists.
Central City Value has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Downtown Magnets, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Central City Value will take on Annenberg at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Downtown Magnets, they will head out on the road to square off against Orthopaedic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
