The Buford Wolves will take on the Valdosta Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Buford comes in on 13 and Valdosta on six.
Buford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down Douglas County 30-15. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' national football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Tigers are ranked 74th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Dylan McCoy, who rushed for 123 yards on only 14 carries. Those 123 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Buford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Douglas County only rushed for 102.
Buford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Dre Quinn was especially locked on to Douglas County's QB and sacked him twice. Quinn has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last seven times he's played. Buford got some further help from Bryce Perry-Wright: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.
Meanwhile, Valdosta narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Walton 45-42.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Marquis Fennell and Noriega Thompson. Fennell had a great game on Friday and gained 244 total yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Thompson was balling out in the loss, rushing for 155 yards and one TD.
Valdosta didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ladarrius McIntyre and Cam Brown.
Buford's record now sits at 13-0. As for Valdosta, their record is now 12-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Buford has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 201.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Valdosta struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 259.9 rushing yards.
