Defeat or not, Rule got some senior leadership from Frankie Olivera and Kyleik Mason. Olivera rushed for 161 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, while Mason rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those 142 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Mason.
Rule wouldn't let Guthrie keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Colton Blair, Olivera, and Julio Tapia picked up one apiece. Olivera's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 120 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Even though they lost, Rule was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 325 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're rushing yard total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harrold). They secured a 49-44 W over Hedley on Friday.
Rule now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Harrold, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
