Marco Tampoya was his usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Christ the King's points. Another player making a difference was Parker Ryan, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Bessemer City saw an underclassman step up: Jayveon Miller scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Zytaavion Davis, who scored nine points.
Christ the King now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bessemer City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
