Baseball Recap: Colerain Beats Middletown for Their Fourth Straight Win

Colerain barely beat Middletown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Middies on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Colerain got a great performance from Landen Winer as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Dario Sanchez Tejada was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Behrle, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Colerain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Colerain's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Middletown, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
