Make it ten blowout wins for the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins this season. They blew past Brookland-Cayce 50-17 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-8.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson found their leader in underclassman Joliyah Robinson, who scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria McNeal, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson pushed their record up to 17-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Brookland-Cayce, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilbert at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Gilbert focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday. As for Brookland-Cayce, they will head out on the road to face off against Dreher at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Dreher is ranked 220th, while Brookland-Cayce is ranked 202nd).
