Baseball Recap: Riverview Academy of Math and Science Takes a Loss

If Riverview Academy of Math and Science was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Non Varsity Opponent on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Riverview Academy of Math and Science Barracudas came up short against the Ruskin Christian Warriors on Friday, falling 8-2.

Caleb Encarnacion was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Ruskin Christian, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 4-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverview Academy of Math and Science will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on All Saints' Academy at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Ruskin Christian, they will host Gulf Coast HEAT at 3:00 p.m. on March 24th. Ruskin Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
