The Croatan Cougars lost against the West Carteret Patriots back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Croatan fell 30-19 to West Carteret. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Croatan in their matchups with West Carteret: they've now lost three in a row.
Croatan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Coleman Davis, who rushed for 156 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and Max Cardona who picked up 69 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Davis was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
Croatan's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for West Carteret, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Croatan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Carteret also has no future games currently scheduled.
