The Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Clear Creek as Bishop Machebeuf made off with a 43-22 victory. The win was just what Bishop Machebeuf needed coming off of a 61-18 defeat in their prior game.
Bishop Machebeuf found their leader in underclassman Massaran Ciza, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Ciza is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Salazar, who scored seven points along with four steals and two blocks.
Despite the loss, Clear Creek still got an impressive performance from Shar Mckown, who scored seven points along with five blocks. That's the first time this season that Mckown posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Aerah Fulton, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clear Creek struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bishop Machebeuf posted nine assists.
Bishop Machebeuf's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Clear Creek, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Bishop Machebeuf will be playing at home against Aurora West College Prep Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora West College Prep Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Clear Creek, they will head out on the road to square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
