The Carbondale Terriers will face off against the Harrisburg Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Carbondale 4, Harrisburg 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Saturday, Carbondale made easy work of Johnston City and carried off an 8-2 victory. The Terriers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Ryan Perrott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Schimpf, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Karayiannis, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Harrisburg had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 9-4. Nine seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Owen Rann spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Xander Robinson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Felix Maynard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Harrisburg pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carbondale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Carbondale came up short against Harrisburg when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 7-2. Will the Terriers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
