The South Aiken Thoroughbreds can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Everything went their way against Airport as South Aiken made off with a 51-26 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory South Aiken has posted since November 24, 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Sumara Williams, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Epps, who scored eight points.
South Aiken pushed their record up to 8-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Airport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Midland Valley the next time they take the court. Airport will host Midland Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while South Aiken will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
